Chikara karate is proud to announce that Sensei Mark D’arcy and Sensei Mark Fletcher were awarded their 7th Dan grades from the BKA.

Sensei D’Arcy for his 45 plus years in Shotokan Karate, developing and running Chikara and his involvement in the BKA. Sensei Fletcher for his 40 plus years in Goju Ryu, teaching at Chikara and involvement in the BKA.

Over the past few years Chikara has raised money for Arrowe Park children’s ward for games and toys. We have also raised thousands for Claire house.

Chikara has also helped set up and support a Karate club in Malawi.

Karate is not just about learning how to defend yourself and keep fit. It is about spirit, dedication and supporting the community.
